Matt’s Story

Founder Matt Christensen grew up quite literally in the construction industry. His parents owned a commercial construction company, and from an early age, he was fascinated by how things were built and how problems could be solved on a job site. By his early teens, he was working alongside seasoned tradesmen, eventually joining the union as a carpenter and gaining hands-on experience in every phase of the building process.

Driven to complement his practical knowledge with business expertise, Matt attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he earned a degree in Business. At just 24, he launched his first construction company — combining his love of building with an entrepreneurial drive. Over the past 30 years, Matt has led commercial projects of every size across California, bringing both technical skill and business empathy to his work.

As a small business owner himself, Matt understands the pressures clients face: budgets, timelines, operations, and the need to get things right the first time. His unique ability to anticipate challenges before they arise — often by reviewing architectural and engineering plans in the pre-bid stage — helps prevent costly surprises and keeps projects moving smoothly.

They raised two daughters who are now pursuing their own dreams.
